Well, we finally had our BBQ, and it was great! It was a real close race with the weatherman, and his rain forcast, but you can't push the Geezers around when we want to have a BBQ! We have been putting in our $1's every Sunday, and now had the chance to see them work! We had Randy and Bob, plus about 5 others from our San Diego chapter, ( and they put $40 into the kitty as well!), and a lot of our own guys. Let me
know if you want the attendance list put up here, and I will. John J.D. Dillard, was the main chef, and was assisted on the grill by our own Ric Maciel and John's son-in-law, Eric Coffelt. The food was done almost perfectly, (I don't want to say perfect or J.D.'s head will swell). The ladies also came along, and did one hell of a job setting the food distribution area up. Almost ALL the food was eaten, as well as everything else. Then came the clean up, and Ric Maciel was right back in the thick of it. Liz, Chris, Jenny Laura, Ric, Regina and a few the kids running around. We also had karoke, compliments of the park manager and his wife, also known as Jay and Shelly. We are trying to talk Jay into getting a bike so he can ride with us! A lot of people gave singing a try, including me, and I must say, I was damn good! Well, so was everyone else. We had a cake, that had 2 bikes on it, but one disappeared, some of the kids were young, and think one must have wanted a bike of his own! I took a few pics, and I am hoping that I get some emailed from others, so I can put them up. If you have them, send them! We want to thank all the helped, and all that attended, for making this such a great event. We hope all that came had a good time also. Thanks to Rick for taking a lot of picks, like he always does on our rides. We may have to nominate him permanent Geezer photographer!
